BREAKING: “This is the end of the line.” E. Jean Carroll demands Trump finally pay the $5.8 million he owes after Supreme Court rejection.

After years of legal battles and multiple appeals, E. Jean Carroll says the time for delays is over.

Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to reject Donald Trump’s final appeal in the 2023 civil case, Carroll’s attorneys have asked a federal judge to immediately release the money Trump was ordered to pay. The amount, originally set at $5 million, has grown to nearly $5.8 million with accumulated interest.

Trump’s legal team reportedly asked for additional time while considering whether to request a rehearing before the Supreme Court. Carroll’s attorneys refused.

“This is the end of the line,” attorney Roberta Kaplan wrote in a filing to the court. “After four years of litigation across every level of the federal court system, it is time for this case to end.”

Judge Lewis Kaplan agreed to fast-track the matter, giving Trump only seven days to respond instead of the usual two weeks.

The payment stems from a landmark 2023 jury verdict in which jurors found Trump liable for sexually assaulting Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s and later defaming her by publicly denying her allegations and attacking her credibility. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million in compensatory and punitive damages, with the funds placed into a court-controlled account pending Trump’s appeals.

Carroll first sued Trump for defamation in 2019 after he dismissed her allegations while serving as president. A second lawsuit, filed in 2022 under New York’s temporary Adult Survivors Act, added a sexual abuse claim. Trump has fought both cases through every available appeal.

While the Supreme Court has now closed the door on the $5 million judgment, Trump is still appealing a separate $83.3 million defamation award issued in another Carroll case.

The latest court filing comes just days after Trump’s annual financial disclosure revealed billions of dollars in reported income and significant growth in his personal wealth, adding further attention to the ongoing legal dispute.

For Carroll’s legal team, however, the message is simple: the appeals are over, the judgment stands, and the time has come for Trump to pay.
